the musical awakening and the beggining of the career
It all began when Nil, at the age of 9, moved guests to tears as she sang at a wedding ceremony in her hometown of Santa Rosa da Serra, Minas Gerais. That unforgettable moment was the first sign that her voice had the power to touch hearts.
During her teenage years, amid dreams and self-discovery, she formed a band with school friends — and quickly stood out for her flawless pitch and natural charisma, captivating everyone who heard her.
At 16, after moving to the city of Uberaba, also in Minas Gerais, Nil fully immersed herself in the world of music: she began taking singing lessons and was soon invited to join local bands. The stage, once a distant dream, became her rightful place.
Music, once a passion, became her profession. Nil took her first steps as a professional singer performing in bars and private events around the city, building a career marked by talent, dedication, and her unmistakable presence.

new Life chapter in Ribeirão Preto
In 2015, at the age of 20, Nil moved to Ribeirão Preto, in the interior of São Paulo, and decided to take a break from performing on stage. But music — which pulses in her very essence — didn’t keep her away from her true calling for long.
Soon, by connecting with renowned musicians from the local scene, she began making friends and gradually started singing at the famous informal “jam sessions.” Each appearance, no matter how casual, made it clear: her talent was undeniable!
Her return to the stage was inevitable — and triumphant! Nil came back stronger than ever, accompanied by top-level musicians in consistent projects that gained recognition throughout the region.
Among these projects, one became especially symbolic: a tribute to her greatest artistic influence, Amy Winehouse, with the show Body & Soul, which continues to captivate audiences to this day.

the tour with Aaron Liddard
In 2018, Nil took her remarkable talent beyond the borders of Minas Gerais, winning over audiences in São Paulo’s capital and other states when she was invited to join the tour of renowned English saxophonist Aaron Liddard — a musician who shared the stage with the unforgettable Amy Winehouse.
Alongside Liddard, Nil experienced a transformative journey: she got closer to the world of one of her greatest musical influences and, in doing so, further strengthened her confidence as an artist. This moment was a turning point, propelling her projects with greater force and authenticity.
During the same tour, Nil also shined when she met and sang with Ian Ritchie, legendary saxophonist for Roger Waters’ band (formerly of Pink Floyd), in memorable musical encounters that left a lasting mark on her career.

the musical connection and partnership with Celso Lopes
In 2019, Nil began a crucial partnership for the expansion and sophistication of her artistic work: the arrival of guitarist Celso Lopes, a virtuous and creative musician. This partnership marked a new chapter in their careers.
With his versatility in tones and sensitivity in arrangements, Celso enriches Nil’s projects with refined musicality that perfectly complements her distinctive voice and expressive bass. Together, they form a powerful and captivating sound combination that elevates every performance to a new level.

The sound that resonates: nil and her bass guitar
In February 2020, Nil decided to reinvent herself: she began a new phase in her career by choosing to learn an instrument — the bass guitar. The following month, with the onset of the pandemic and the start of the lockdown, she turned her free time into an opportunity and dove headfirst into her studies.
With intense dedication and a growing passion, she was ready for a major challenge in just four months: performing an entire show during a livestream benefit concert supporting musicians affected by the shutdown of live events.
Since then, the bass guitar has become an extension of her artistic expression. Today, Nil sings and plays in 90% of her projects, combining voice and groove with a unique identity and creative strength.

socioCULTURAL projects
In 2022, Nil conceived and brought to life a project with great impact: the "Escola de Blues" (Blues School), approved through the PROAC public grant. Through this initiative, she held workshop-performances in various branches of the Projeto Guri, introducing the language of blues to children and teenagers in situations of social vulnerability. The project combined art, education, and transformation, democratizing access to music with sensitivity and purpose.
Continuing this mission, in 2024, the project "Blues Para Todos" (Blues For All) was born, made possible by the Paulo Gustavo Law. This initiative expanded the reach of her work, bringing live blues performances to nursing homes and workshop-performances to public schools — spreading culture, care, and inspiration through the power of the blues.
