Nil Guimarães is a singer and bassist from Minas Gerais, known for her strong presence in Brazil’s international music scene. Currently based in Ribeirão Preto (São Paulo), Nil moves effortlessly between blues, soul, and international rock, combining powerful vocals, refined musicality, and a vibrant stage presence.

Throughout her career, she has shared the stage with renowned national and international artists and has had the opportunity to perform at top-tier music venues and festivals across Brazil.

Nil is also expanding her work internationally, with tours in Ireland and performances throughout South America. She is the creator of projects such as the sextet Nil Guimarães – Blues & Soul, and the tribute show Body & Soul, honoring Amy Winehouse.

With a powerful and expressive voice, Nil brings her unique identity to every performance — a complete artist who moves, captivates, and transforms her audience with each show.

ON THE STAGE OF THE VOICE BRASIL

Nil Guimarães has just made her debut in the Blind Auditions of the 2025 season of The Voice Brasil, performing the classic “Piece of My Heart” by Janis Joplin.

Accompanied by her bass guitar and armed with her powerful voice and striking stage presence, Nil not only turned the coaches’ chairs but also won their admiration.

In the end, she chose to join #TeamPericles — a decision that, according to the show’s producers, surprised the studio audience due to the contrast between her rock/blues style and the coach’s samba/pagode background.

During her first performance, Nil was praised for bringing “the power of rock to The Voice Brasil stage” and for her remarkable delivery, showcasing a voice full of strength and connection with the audience.

The show also highlighted key moments in her journey, such as leaving behind a promising career in engineering to follow her heart into music.

This appearance marks not only a significant step in Nil Guimarães’ career but also a public reaffirmation of her talent and artistic identity.
